🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1967, a patrol officer in Minnesota observed a bright object descending toward a lake. Initially, he thought it might be an aircraft in distress, but using his landing light failed to identify it. The object behaved unexpectedly, accelerating and turning suddenly. The officer noted bright white lights but could not hear any sound or discern details of the object. Other witnesses, including a mother and her daughter, also reported seeing an unusual bright light moving strangely. Although anti-submarine patrol aircraft were mentioned as possible explanations, the officer was not convinced. The official report suggested the lights could be explained by military aircraft in training, but the officer who investigated locally considered the explanation unsatisfactory.
