UFO spotted over Bentor Arkansas in 1967

An officer from the Little Rock Air Force Base reported a sighting of an unidentified flying object in Bentor, Arkansas, in March 1967. The object, described as a bright white point with occasional red flashes, was observed for approximately three minutes. The observer, a local sheriff's deputy, received an anonymous phone call alerting him to the UFO's presence. The object hovered for about a minute before slowly moving southward. Although the observer couldn't see how it disappeared, investigators concluded it was likely a homemade hot air balloon. These devices, made with plastic bags and heated by suspended cables, were common at the time and could explain the object's behavior.
