🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1967, a witness in New Windsor, New York, observed an object shaped like a glowing mass of four square lights. The object, described as a combination of six stars, emitted a soft humming noise and moved from the southeast to the northeast. The witness, a 12-year-old student, saw it for 4 to 5 minutes before it slowly disappeared. Although an aircraft was considered a possible explanation, there was no physical evidence or photographs to confirm it.
The Air Force reviewed the report and concluded it could have been an aircraft, but the witness's account was deemed unreliable. The weather was clear and calm, which didn't fully explain the object's appearance. The officer in charge, Captain Peter M. Green, noted it could have been one of the local aircraft from Stewart AFB, though it was never confirmed.
