In March 1967, a Memphis, Tennessee social worker observed an unidentified aerial object described as a dark cigar with lights on the underside. The lights blinked in a sequential pattern, creating a wavy effect. The witness, accustomed to sky watching, saw the object for 20-30 seconds, almost directly overhead, before it vanished instantly to the north. Although the official conclusion suggested an aircraft, the detailed description and the witness's experience add intrigue to this case.
The same individual reported other sightings in the preceding months, including round, bright objects moving silently. Despite investigations, no conventional explanation was found for these phenomena, leaving open the possibility that they were unidentified objects.
