🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1967, a traffic officer in Moline, Illinois, observed several unidentified flying objects (UFOs) during a sunny afternoon. The first sighting occurred around 1:30 PM, when the officer saw an object shaped like a pickle, shiny, and without visible propellers. The object moved slowly toward the northwest, occasionally appearing to stop or hover. Later, a similar object appeared following the same path. The officer attempted to photograph the objects with an 8 mm camera, but the images did not reveal clear information.
Investigations included consultations with airports, security services, and military personnel, but no conventional aerial activity was found in the area. Weather data indicated moderate winds and clear skies, ideal conditions for observation. Despite multiple interviews and reviews of evidence, investigators concluded there was insufficient information to identify the objects. The case was filed as "unidentified."
