Summary

In April 1967, a witness in Jefferson City, Missouri, observed an unidentified object approaching at low altitude with a light so intense it seemed to emit X-ray-like radiation. The object, described as resembling a World War I helmet, had two objects the size of a DC3. Later, they separated from the main object and sped away in different directions. The witness stopped his car three times to observe, using binoculars and a telescope. Airport officials and a pilot reportedly confirmed the object's presence, though a hot-air balloon explanation was dismissed. The official investigation concluded the phenomenon was unidentifiable.
