🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1967, a 15-year-old boy in Virginia observed a bright triangular object. The witness noticed the object appeared to change shape and disappear momentarily, creating confusion. Some believe it could have been a satellite or an aircraft entering the scene, making it seem like the object reappeared. The duration was likely overestimated, but the account remains intriguing.
The official report suggests the first object could have been a star enlarged by atmospheric diffraction, while the second, with a flashing red light, might have been an aircraft. However, no direct visual contact with any plane was made. A lieutenant, Gatje wski, noted that with binoculars, the wings of the aircraft should have been visible, which did not happen. This adds mystery to the sighting, which remains unexplained.
