🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1967, a UFO sighting report from St. Louis, Missouri, arrived without a description of the object observed, complicating its analysis. The document mentions that a photograph was submitted, but no description of the sighting or the original negative was included—key elements for a proper evaluation. The Air Force requested the negatives and technical camera data, such as shutter speed, film type, and filters used, to verify the authenticity of the image.
The case was handled by the Air Force's Community Relations Division, which sought cooperation from the witness. The lack of detailed information and the delayed report made the investigation difficult. Although a letter was sent to Eastman Kodak regarding the camera used, the mystery of the photographed object remained unsolved. Ultimately, the report concluded with "Insufficient Data," indicating the phenomenon could not be identified.
