🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1967, an observer in Webster, Maine, reported seeing an unidentified flying object described as a yellow and white disc. The witness, who was photographing the moon, noticed a luminous object moving in bursts and occasionally stopping. He took two photographs of the phenomenon, using slow film and a limited aperture, yet managed to capture a detailed image. The official report concluded there was insufficient data for evaluation, and no radar contacts or conventional flights were recorded in the area at that time. The photograph did not allow for a clear identification, and the case remains unresolved.
The observer's testimony was detailed and precise, including the exact time of the sighting and location. Despite photographic analysis, the object could not be identified. The lack of additional data and the inability to examine the original negative limited the investigation. The case highlights the challenges faced by authorities in resolving UFO reports with limited evidence.
