🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1967, a witness in Plainfield, Indiana, observed an unidentified object during a baseball game. The witness described the object as a flying saucer that suddenly appeared in the sky and quickly disappeared into the clouds. Although the report was submitted with some delay, in January 1968, no physical evidence or photographs were found to support the observation. The lack of concrete data made any further evaluation impossible beyond the visual description provided by the witness.
The official report concluded that there was insufficient information for a definitive evaluation. The witness, a civilian, did not report the exact duration of the observation or any accompanying phenomena. Despite the brief sighting, the testimony was recorded as part of Project 10073, an effort to document reports of unidentified flying objects. Like many other cases, this one remains unresolved, added to the vast archive of aerial mysteries that have intrigued researchers and UFO enthusiasts for decades.
