🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1967, a witness in Las Vegas, Nevada, reported the observation of an unidentified flying object. According to the report, the object appeared as a flat disk with a silvery, speckled color. It was seen for about 30 seconds and described as moving straight over a mountain before suddenly disappearing. The witness, a 25-year-old civilian, expressed some confusion about the nature of the object, though he did not rule out the possibility that it was a terrestrial phenomenon. The sighting was recorded as part of the U.S. Air Force's efforts to gather information on unidentified aerial phenomena.
The Air Force requested the witness to complete a detailed questionnaire to obtain more information about the event. Although the initial report did not provide enough data for a conclusive scientific evaluation, it was noted that the object had a straight trajectory and showed no signs of being a conventional phenomenon. The report also mentioned that the sky was clear, allowing for a direct visual observation. Despite the brief sighting, the testimony was considered valuable for the UFO research files of the time.
