🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1967, an observer in Kansas City, Kansas, spotted a metallic object traveling south with a slight wobble and wispy smoke. The object, estimated to be about 30 feet in diameter, exploded between the observer's home and a nearby air base. Despite multiple calls to authorities, including the Air Force and police, no physical evidence was found, and no aircraft presence was confirmed. The Air Force officially classified the incident as a hot air balloon, though the observer and other witnesses remained unconvinced. The case was reviewed by experts like Dr. Ed Condon and Dr. Allan Hynek, but no clear answers were provided.
