🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1967, a witness in Meadow Vista, California, observed an unidentified aerial object that appeared as a solid, bright point, similar in size to a star. The object had blurry edges and did not emit any sound. Its color was described as a rusty red. The observation lasted about 30 seconds and was made visually from the ground. Despite the detailed description, U.S. military authorities could not confirm its origin, concluding it might be a satellite. However, there was some confusion about the exact date of the sighting, which led to a request for clarification from the witness.
The original report showed some inconsistencies, such as the sighting date being recorded as July 31, but the witness mentioned a different date in the questionnaire. Additionally, it was asked whether the moon was visible during the observation, an important detail for determining night visibility conditions. Although the object showed no movement or significant changes, its unique appearance and the brief observation time generated interest among authorities. Like many other cases, this one remains without a conclusive explanation.
