Double UFO in Kernville 1967

Summary

In July 1967, a witness in Kernville, California, reported seeing two bright lights in the sky. The first light, yellow and twice the size of a star, appeared in the east at 10:15 PM. Later, another light joined it and seemed to guide the first along a defined path. The observer watched the objects for 75 minutes, disappearing to the southeast at 11:30 PM. Edwards AFB was contacted, but they couldn’t confirm the phenomenon, attributing it to a light aircraft. However, discrepancies in the sighting date complicated the investigation.

Dr. Hynek concluded that further investigation was not worthwhile, as the data was conflicting. The official report found no physical evidence or photographs, and weather and radar data provided no clarity. The observer described the lights as featureless objects, generating more questions than answers. Like many other cases, this one was filed without a conclusive explanation.
