🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1967, a witness in Jacksonville, Florida reported a luminous disc-shaped object while watching for meteors. The observer, a 14-year-old boy, saw the object for about a minute. He described a bright light with fuzzy edges that gradually dimmed while moving slowly northward. A friend observed it through a telescope and confirmed its disc-like shape. Although the official report classified it as a satellite (PAGEOS A), the detailed description suggests a unique visual experience.
The report includes a detailed questionnaire where the observer describes weather conditions, the object's appearance, and its movement. The testimony is interesting for its accuracy and for the coincidence with similar sightings in previous months. Despite the official conclusion, the personal narrative adds a touch of mystery to this classic 1960s case.
