🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian in San Angelo, Texas, reported in 1967 the sighting of a green, round light in the sky. The witness described the object as appearing in the north, hovering briefly, then moving southeast toward Goodfellow Air Force Base before disappearing. Although no optical aids were used, the observer noted unusual movements of the object, raising suspicions that it was not a conventional aircraft. Authorities checked FAA records and found no flight activity in the area during the time of the report, leaving the observation unexplained.
The report, classified by the Air Force, mentions that the observer was a reliable elderly woman and that weather conditions were favorable for observation. Despite investigations, there was no physical evidence or photographs to support the sighting. The officer in charge admitted he was not qualified to analyze UFO phenomena, reflecting the lack of clear protocols for such cases at the time.
