🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An observer in Newark, New Jersey, reported a sighting in the early morning of October 6, 1967. Initially, the object appeared to have lights similar to those of a landing aircraft, but as it approached, it was described as elliptical with windows along its side and a smooth, floating motion. Although a hot air balloon or satellite decay were considered, no reports from the Volunteer Flight Officer Network were recorded. The lack of precise weather data from the area at that time complicated the evaluation. The report concluded that the object could not be identified with certainty, and there were no confirmations of other witnesses or aerial activity in the area.
