🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1967, a person in Lubbock, Texas, observed an unidentified flying object that changed color between white and red. The object was as bright as a street lamp and had antennas on top. Witnesses signed a description of the phenomenon, and the responsible officer noted that the object's flight path matched the traffic pattern of Lubbock Municipal Airport. This led investigators to conclude it was likely an airplane landing. Despite no physical evidence, air traffic data and the sighting location supported this explanation. The report, part of Air Force archives, reflects the thoroughness with which UFO cases were handled at the time.
