🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Fairborn, Ohio, reported an orange light in the sky in 1967. The object appeared from the west, turned toward the northwest, flickered, and made no noise. The report notes inconsistencies, as the witness initially said he saw one object, but later mentioned two. The local air base, with heavy air traffic, recorded the sighting from their control tower. Although an aircraft was considered, the data was classified as conflicting due to inconsistencies in the testimony and the lack of responses from the two other witnesses contacted.
The lack of physical evidence and the confusion in the testimony led to the conclusion of conflicting data. The light, which had no noise or visible trail, remained in the sky for 15 minutes. The air base sent forms to the other witnesses, but they were not returned. The sighting, though brief, raised questions about its nature, and the case remains unresolved.
