🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1967, a witness in Athens, Ohio, reported an object resembling an aluminum sphere with a box-like top, reflecting yellowish-orange light. The object was observed for about 2 minutes. Initially, it raised questions about an unidentified aerial phenomenon, but the observer later identified it as a hot air balloon. The detailed description and behavior of the object sparked interest, but the final conclusion pointed to a conventional explanation. This case illustrates how everyday objects can cause confusion and be reported as unexplained phenomena.
