🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in Dayton, Ohio reported an object resembling a flare that traced a path toward Earth. The sighting occurred on December 14, 1967, at 13:35, and lasted approximately 50 minutes. The object was seen in the southeast direction and was described as similar to the light patterns of a searchlight on cloud bases, though the observer ruled out a searchlight due to clear sky conditions. The report's conclusion suggested the phenomenon might have been a meteor. Despite the prolonged observation, no photographs or physical evidence were obtained. This case is part of the records of Project 10073, a U.S. Air Force program dedicated to investigating unidentified aerial phenomena.
