UFO seen for an hour in New Mexico

Summary

A witness described a large amber light seen for an hour while driving along highway 82 between Cloudcroft and Artesia, New Mexico, in December 1967. The object appeared at about 15 degrees from the road and remained visible until the observer reached the outskirts of Artesia.
