🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A police officer in Aiken, South Carolina, reported a bright red-orange object in the sky in December 1967. The observer, Sgt. Max A. Meek, described the phenomenon as a round, pulsating light that suddenly rose and disappeared. Although he claimed to have taken photographs of the object, no confirmed images were found. The main source of information was a letter from the officer, who noted that the object moved rapidly upward without making noise. The official investigation concluded that the data was insufficient for evaluation, and no clear explanation was identified. The case remains one of many UFO reports that could not be resolved with certainty.
