🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1967, a witness in Lemoore, California, reported a bright object moving from the southwest to the northeast. The light, described as white and very intense, was seen for approximately 15 minutes. Initially considered an optical illusion or a weather balloon, the report concluded it was likely the Echo I satellite. The object showed no distinct features like a tail or noise, complicating its identification. The observer's position and the satellite's coordinates matched the sighting time, supporting the theory that it was a satellite in orbit.
