🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Burnettown, South Carolina, reported in 1967 the observation of an unidentified object that initially appeared like a large star. However, the observer soon noticed movement and a color change, turning blue and orange, and roughly twice the size of a star. The object remained stationary for several minutes, drawing the observer’s attention. There was no physical evidence or photographs, and the official report concluded that the phenomenon could not be identified with the available data.
The U.S. Air Force technical report includes details such as the duration of the observation (13 minutes), the type of observation (ground visual), and the object's movement. Although nearby stars like Betelgeuse and Pollux were mentioned as reference points, no conventional explanation was found for the phenomenon. The case was filed without resolution, typical of many UFO reports from that era.
