🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness reported seeing two bright red lights in the sky over Cincinnati, Ohio, on January 1, 1968. The lights appeared to the east, one stationary and the other slowly moving up and down relative to the first. The lower light disappeared first, followed by the upper one a few minutes later. The phenomenon lasted about 15 minutes and no sound was heard. The observer used binoculars and did not notice any other objects in the sky. The Air Force concluded that the lights were likely hot air balloons, commonly used in school and university events. Despite the explanation, the case remains intriguing due to the detailed description of the movement and appearance of the lights.
