🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1968, a civilian observer reported an unusual object 100 miles west of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The object was described as a baseball bat with a rounded nose and a tapered tail. It glowed white at the front and blue-white at the tail. As it descended in a northwesterly direction, the observer noted that the object ejected two glowing blue-white balls on each side before disappearing. Despite turning on the plane's radar, no echo of the object was detected. Investigators concluded it could have been a bolide, a rare but known meteorological phenomenon.
The official report suggests the description of the object is consistent with that of a bolide, a luminous meteor entering Earth's atmosphere. The lack of radar detection supports this theory, as bolides do not always leave detectable traces with conventional equipment. Although no physical evidence was found, the observer's testimony and detailed description of the phenomenon are valuable for UFO research archives. This case, though classified as likely natural, remains intriguing due to its clarity and precision.
