Summary

Two civilian witnesses in Ohio observed a luminous object that glowed, blinked, and changed colors—white, green, red, and blue—for about an hour on February 7, 1968. The object remained stationary in the southwest and was described as resembling a balloon rising and falling with the air current. Despite its unusual appearance, the report concluded that the phenomenon was likely of astronomical origin, citing bright stars such as Betelgeuse, Thoven, and Sirius with precise azimuth and elevation data. The testimony was detailed and careful, including observations of celestial coordinates.

On the other hand, a patrol officer from Fayette County also reported a luminous object with red, white, and blue or green lights. The officer observed it for 20 minutes from a patrol car, describing the object as rotating clockwise. This testimony was officially collected by Project Blue Book, led by Major Hector Quintanilla Jr., using an AF Form 117. Unlike the first case, this report does not mention additional witnesses or physical effects. Both testimonies, while different in detail, contribute to a mysterious record of unidentified aerial phenomena from the early 1960s.
