🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1968, an observer in Bradenton, Florida, reported seeing an object similar to a UFO moving along the horizon. The report, dated July of that year, noted that the sighting occurred more than thirty days prior, making immediate evaluation difficult. The Air Force advised reporting future sightings to nearby bases, where experts could conduct on-site investigations. Although the report suggested the object could be a meteor or space debris, the possibility of an unidentified aerial phenomenon was not ruled out.
The document includes an official response letter to the observer, who was encouraged to complete a form to archive their testimony. Despite the difficulty in confirming the sighting, the responsible officer thanked the citizen for their cooperation. This case reflects the authorities' interest in collecting information on unidentified aerial phenomena, even when data is limited or outdated.
