In August 1950, a witness in Hopewell Junction, New York, reported seeing an object described as a flying saucer. The sighting occurred at night, with the object hovering for about 15 minutes before suddenly disappearing. Despite the lack of photographs or physical evidence, the witness described the object as silent and of an indeterminate color. The report, under Project 10073, concluded that the data was insufficient for a scientific investigation. The testimony was reported decades later, in 1968, complicating further verification.
