🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, a group of students and a teacher from Lausanne School reported observing an unidentified flying object. According to the testimony, the object appeared between 7:39 and 9 PM. They described it as too slow to be an airplane and not elongated like a blimp. It had red and green lights on top, large windows, and white lights rotating on the bottom half. The object remained visible for about 30 minutes, appearing and disappearing multiple times. It made no noise, which confused and intrigued the witnesses. The teacher also confirmed seeing it and reported the incident to the sheriff's office.
The case was documented by air authorities, but it was concluded that there was insufficient data for evaluation. The witness was asked to complete a detailed form to gather more information. Despite the clear nature of the testimony, the lack of reliable physical or photographic evidence hindered further investigation. This incident exemplifies how multiple sightings, even by non-experts, can generate interest and the need for further research in UFO cases.
