Summary

In 1968, a witness in Colorado Springs, Colorado, reported seeing four glowing balls moving in a straight line toward the south. These objects, described as reddish-pink in color, resembled flares and appeared to glide at low altitude before disappearing after about 10 to 12 seconds. Although the possibility of a balloon with attached flares was considered, no physical evidence or additional testimonies confirmed this hypothesis.

The Air Force requested the witness to complete a detailed questionnaire to investigate the phenomenon, but insufficient information was obtained for a scientific evaluation. The report notes that other witnesses, including local police and the academy air police, did not report anything similar. Despite the clear description from the observer, the case remains unresolved, adding an air of mystery to this nighttime aerial sighting.
