🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1968, a witness in San Antonio, Texas, reported seeing multiple unidentified flying objects. According to the testimony, there was a main disc accompanied by several smaller discs. The observer described how these objects appeared and disappeared within seconds, without leaving physical evidence. Although the report was considered unreliable due to the nature of the visual observation, the testimony included details about the relative positions of the objects and their intense black color, even under the light of the rising sun. The observer, who had been collaborating with researchers from the University of Colorado, sent his testimony to military authorities, suggesting it could be an unknown technology or even an advanced form of photography.
The report also included drawings and detailed descriptions of the objects, adding credibility to the testimony. The observer proposed theories about the possibility that the objects were using technology allowing for impossible speeds, as had been observed in other cases involving jet fighters. Despite the lack of physical evidence, the testimony was considered interesting enough to be sent to Wright-Patterson AFB, where aerial phenomena were being investigated. The case reflected the curiosity and mystery surrounding UFO sightings in the 1960s, an era in which science and speculation often intertwined.
