🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1968, two sixteen-year-old teenagers in Fort Mill, South Carolina, reported seeing an unidentified object in the sky. The UFO, described as oval-shaped and white turning red when moving, was observed for about thirteen minutes. The youths, who didn't wear contact lenses or glasses, agreed the object was larger than normal and moved in an unusual way. Although they initially thought it might be a helicopter, they soon realized it made no noise and moved at a great height, which confused them.
The U.S. Air Force responded to the report, requesting more information via an AF Form 117. Although the case didn't receive immediate follow-up, the fact that two teenagers reported the phenomenon and the military requested further details shows official interest in UFO sightings. This case, like many others, adds to the long history of sky mysteries that have intrigued scientists, military personnel, and the general public.
