🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1968, a civilian observer on a Great Lakes ore boat reported seeing three unidentified flying objects. He described three circular, floodlight-colored objects moving very fast at high altitude. The report was submitted in December 1968, too late for immediate investigation. Part of Project 10073, the case includes no photos or physical evidence, but notes the precise location near the Mackinac Bridge in Lake Michigan. The visual description is clear, though the report concludes no further evaluation was possible due to the delay.
The observer noted the objects were about 40 miles from the bridge, moving northeast. One was behind and to the side of the first, and another further back. Despite the lack of additional data, the testimony was archived as part of the Project 10073 records. The report does not offer definitive conclusions, but suggests the phenomenon warranted more attention had it been reported sooner.
