🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1968, a witness in Austin, Pennsylvania, observed a silvery object resembling an inverted kite with the larger part at the bottom. The object was estimated at around 1000 feet altitude and made a sound like wobbling tin. The witness, cutting trees at the time, thought the wind was pushing it but didn’t report it officially, fearing people would think he was crazy. The Air Force requested additional information, but the witness didn’t respond within 30 days.
The report concluded there was insufficient data for evaluation. The object appeared and disappeared at about 20 degrees above the horizon, and its unusual shape and sound made it hard to explain. Although no photos or physical evidence were found, the single witness’s account adds an air of mystery to this unidentified aerial event.
