🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An observer in East Lake, Ohio, reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon in September 1969. The object was described as a line of star-like points that moved retrograde before disappearing. The report, part of Project 10073, concluded it was likely a satellite. The observer used a 6-inch telescope to watch the phenomenon, which moved quickly across the sky near Beta Lyra. Although initially considered a UFO, the investigation suggested it was a recently launched multi-satellite from Vandenberg AFB. The report includes details on location, time, and trajectory, noting that other observers also saw it. Despite the clear report, a definitive identification was not possible due to the large number of visible satellites at the time.
