🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A report of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) was recorded in Houston, Texas, during the 1950s. A witness, a patient at the National Jewish Hospital, described seeing a series of objects moving at extremely high speeds, between 700 and 900 miles per hour. According to the testimony, these objects did not emit any sound or visible exhaust trail. They were observed between 9:30 and 10:00 PM and were described as bright, with a yellowish-white color, and movements similar to those of a butterfly. The witness noted that the objects appeared and disappeared repeatedly, making continuous observation difficult. Despite the details provided, authorities concluded that the data was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation.
The report also includes testimonies from other observers, including hospital patients and a nurse, who confirmed seeing the same objects. However, there were no radar records or meteorological explanations to justify the sighting. The document was classified and later declassified, now allowing public access. Although no definitive conclusion was reached about the nature of the objects, the case remains an interesting example of how UFO sightings were addressed during the Cold War.
