🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1952, a couple in Lake Charles, Louisiana, spotted an elliptical white object with two bright lights. The object hovered for a few seconds before disappearing at tremendous speed, estimated at around 1000 miles per hour. Later, they saw a red streak following the same path. No sound or aerodynamic features were observed. An air intelligence report considered it likely a weather balloon, though not confirmed. The clear sky and lack of wind add mystery to the sighting.
