🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1947, a witness in Hyattsville, Maryland, reported a luminous object with red and blue lights. The object, described as round or oval, was about seven to eight miles away and 33 degrees above the horizon. Observers noted rapid and irregular movements for several minutes, along with occasional sparks. Attempts to confirm the sighting via radar and aerial checks were unsuccessful.
The report included contacts with airports and military bases, which reported no unusual activity. The weather was clear, ruling out conventional explanations. Like many cases from that era, this remains unsolved and is part of the history of UFO investigations in the United States.
