🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1952, a bright object was observed near Flatwoods, West Virginia. Witnesses described an egg-shaped object with a brilliant greenish white color and an unusual trajectory. It appeared near the horizon and moved at high speed, generating curiosity and mystery.
The sighting lasted about 3 to 6 seconds, but the visual impact was intense. Calculations based on distance and angle suggest the object was only 160 miles from Akron, Ohio, and was visible for about 135 miles. Although its actual size was unknown, it was estimated to be at least twice the size of a full moon.
