🇺🇸 CIA
In 1968, Leon Davidson from White Plains, New York, wrote a letter to the CIA requesting information on unidentified flying objects. In his message, Davidson mentioned that he had testified before a congressional subcommittee on government information and that his testimony reflected his interest in the subject. He also requested the agency's cooperation in obtaining more details about the case.
Davidson further stated that he was obtaining copies of his testimony and asked how he should respond to the received correspondence. In his letter, he expressed interest in any background information the CIA might have on UFOs. This declassified document provides an interesting glimpse into how citizens attempted to access classified information on unexplained aerial phenomena during the Cold War.
