🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1962, a civilian in Oklahoma City reported a fast-moving light above the clouds. The witness described it as a bright star-like object, the size of a pinhead, traveling at great height and speed. Another report mentioned a light blinking on and off every five seconds. Despite the mysterious nature of the sighting, investigators concluded it was a Sputnik rocket, explaining the movement and appearance.
Weather data and the absence of air traffic in the area supported this conclusion. Additionally, the object left no trail and made no sound, common traits of satellites or rockets in orbit. This case is an example of how UFO sightings are often explained by known phenomena, although they continue to spark curiosity and debate.
