🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1967, two pilots reported sightings of unidentified objects near the coast of South Carolina and Georgia. The first pilot observed between five and seven orange lights arranged in a staggered line, which suddenly vanished as if turned off. A second pilot, 11 minutes later and 123 miles away, saw a white light that transformed into seven lights forming a triangle before disappearing. Despite the descriptions, the lack of precise data and the inability to confirm whether both pilots observed the same phenomenon led to the conclusion that there was insufficient information to evaluate the sighting. Investigations found no evidence of rocket launches, satellites, or meteorological phenomena to explain the event.
