🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1967, a 12-year-old boy in Saratoga Springs, New York, observed a bright object in the sky. The object appeared above the southern horizon, brighter than the stars, and moved westward before disappearing. Moments later, it reappeared higher in the sky, without any sound. Through a Sears telescope, it appeared to have two rectangular lights connected. The observation lasted about five minutes, with a clear sky and a full moon. The report was sent to the U.S. Air Force for evaluation.
The official military report stated that the information provided was insufficient for a scientific evaluation. The witness was asked to complete a detailed form to gather more data. Despite the boy's age, the report emphasized that it should not be considered a prank. The object was not identified as a known aircraft or phenomenon, leaving open the possibility of an unidentified aerial phenomenon.
