🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1952, a U.S. Air Force officer submitted a report on an unidentified flying object observed in Platteville, Wisconsin. The report describes a round or teardrop-shaped object, pale green in color, about the size of a dime held at arm's length. It was seen for approximately two seconds, moving at high speed in a smooth arc toward the northeast. It left no trail or sound, raising questions about its nature.
The report notes that the object was observed from the ground, with no evidence of conventional air traffic in the area. Although an electrical storm was visible on the horizon, no meteorological or solar disturbances were reported that could explain the sighting. Due to the delay in receiving the report, no interception or identification actions were taken. This document, classified for decades, provides a historical glimpse into UFO reports during the Cold War.
