In 1969, the Australian Department of Defence declassified a series of documents regarding unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings in Australia. These files include detailed reports from witnesses and evaluations by military units. One notable case involves Mrs. H. Morris, who observed a bright object over Floreat Park. The report describes the object as a "bright cigar" with a silver center and no sound, raising questions about its identity. Other witnesses, such as the Bowmans and Mr. Hyde, also reported similar sightings, some with vapor trails and unusual movements. Military authorities could not determine the cause of these appearances, adding mystery to these events.
