In 1960, Tasmania witnessed several sightings of unidentified flying objects that caught the attention of Australian authorities. Two notable reports came from Cressy and Trevallyn, where observers described bright lights and unusual metallic shapes. Witnesses, including an engineer and a farming couple, described lights that did not resemble conventional aircraft, with changing colors and unexpected movements. Although there was no physical evidence such as photographs or fragments, the reports highlight the consistency in descriptions and the inability to identify the objects as known phenomena. Australian air authorities reviewed the cases, but no conclusive explanation was reached, keeping the mystery around these events.
