🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In late July 1976, a hunter visited a site near Entrevaux in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence after a shepherd reported strange ground marks he had found on June 25. The hunter confirmed the presence of circular imprints but could not determine their cause. The gendarmerie investigation concluded the marks were old and their origin remained uncertain. GEIPAN classified the case as C—no conventional explanation was found, yet the evidence did not point to a clearly anomalous phenomenon either.
