🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On April 30, 1977, between 23:00 and 23:25, several witnesses in Cagnes-sur-Mer observed an unusual light in the sky and heard a sizzling or crackling sound. Although the gendarmerie was notified, albeit late, no physical traces were found at the location. The testimonies varied on many details, making it difficult to determine the event with precision. Despite the lack of material evidence, the case was classified as "C" by the GEIPAN, indicating that an unusual explanation was not ruled out, although an extraterrestrial origin was not confirmed.
